The integration of our Google calendar with the scheduling feature was the keystone in our decision to switch to HomeWatchIT. This feature provides a scheduling function that travels with you and quickly identifies the daily route, the type of work order, and if the client is in residence or not and you can manage your personal calendar right along with your business calendar for easy reference. Linking of the billing portal with Quickbooks makes for a simple reconciliation of the billing process, payments, bank reconciliation and allows our customers to pay online via credit/debit cards, ACH, bank check or mailing a check if they desire.
Our clients particularly love the reports that we provide them after each visit. We include many pictures in our reports and the annotation process is extremely easy and color enhanced to draw attention to the issue you are reporting. "I really like this system. My bookkeeper loves this system. My employees that perform home watch love this system, and most importantly, my CLIENTS LOVE the reports. To keep this short, a report can be started from anywhere at anytime. There are no restraints, the GPS is still there to show that the inspector/tech was there. The checklist is very interactive, and only gives you what you need (what you prompt). You can schedule and make work orders on the spot, and the picture/video feature is simple and works quickly. Now, because my business performs handyman, maintenance, concierge, and contractor liaison, I am able to take advantage of the scheduling and also the feature that allows us to connect directly with QuickBooks for invoicing, expenses and reimbursement. In other words, We enter it one time, and it is pretty much done. This saves us an incredible amount of administration and billing time. We actually sent a few early invoices through the system yesterday and today, and are already paid by some.
The other thing that I like for new businesses is that there is a start up program that allows the system to grow with you, and it is pretty inexpensive. It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles, like it won't pass through to QB automatically, but is a great value nonetheless. Bottom line, this is a great starter system that can be added to as your company grows.
For larger companies, the big selling feature is that there is no limit, nor any price increase as you add clients to the system. So the company with 500 clients pays no more than the company with 50.
All of that being said, I can say with confidence that Home Watch IT is definitely a system worth looking at."
